A Rustic Maternity Session
Pregnancy is such a beautiful time for many moms and dads to be. The idea of creating a life moves me. Nine (cough cough ten) months of growing a precious life, it doesn't get more amazing than that. Usually this special time calls for a serene greenery shoot, but I wanted to change it up with this session and the parents to be were all for it!
This magically rustic spot is the Bevil Jarrell Memorial Bridge, named after a former Humble ISD educator, and not-so-quantly located in between the south and north bound lanes of I-59 in Humble. Both the couple and myself originally got a bit lost trying to locate the bridge which has an entrance discreetly placed in the u-turn under the overpass for the San Jacinto River. It just sounds confusing, right? We quickly learned this part of Humble has mostly been abandoned which added to the mystery.
Samantha and Adam are the awesome soon-to-be parents expecting a baby boy. It is funny that you can spend one hour with someone you've never met and you can leave feeling like you've known them for years! These two are both super sweet and happen to be brand new to Texas. They were tons of fun to work with and they were both instantly naturals in front of the camera. Samantha told me it was her first professional photoshoot but you definitely couldn't tell. Her giggly side allowed me to capture amazing, authentic moments.
Thank you, Samantha and Adam, for letting me capture this special time for you and congratulations!!
